22 days to go!

I'm getting very excited for BlogHer'11 in San Diego!

My friends and I that are meeting up there for the weekend are all planning out what to do and what to wear, but what I'm MOST excited about is that I've never gone on a trip by myself, AND most of us have never met each other in person!

We've all been keeping touch through online message boards - probably for about 6 or 7 years, so it's going to be very neat to finally be able to talk to each other face to face and see what everyone is like. We all know details of everyone's lives, names of family members and things like that so I'm sure it will be just like meeting an old friend after a long time apart.

I leave on August 4th - so only 22 days. And we also have the long weekend right before that so I only have to work for a couple of days in between and then I'm off on vacation again - doesn't get much better than that.

I haven't decided which sessions to attend during the day, but I know we'll all be hitting up the parties for snacks and drinks and all of the different sponsored events for some sweet swag. Who doesn't love swag??

We've also planned to stay an extra day so that we get some beach/shopping time outside of the conference. I'm just hoping I don't make a fool out of myself because I'm planning on having a drink in my hand the entire vacation (I wonder if I could hide rum and coke in a water bottle....). Hah! (If you think I am kidding.. bless your sweet little hearts..lol )

I just ordered some mini moo cards to hand out to anyone new I meet and one of my genius friends suggested that I ship them to her in the states and she'll bring them with her so that I could save on shipping - and it really did save something like $25.. Canadians really get jacked on shipping charges.
